A Platinum Jubilee wedding for Lisa and Michael at one of my favourite wedding venues, the William Cecil, in Stamford, Lincolnshire. The William Cecil is beautifully blended into the marvellous architecture and streets of Stamford. It is somewhat nestled, that it can easily be missed and yet step inside, you will be met with a grand world of weddingness. It lies within the magnificent Burghley Estate, the centrepiece of which is Burghley House, one of the foremost Treasure Houses of the United Kingdom.
Every wedding is different not matter how many times I photograph a wedding at the same venue. I have always said that the perfect recipe needs a good ingredients, if every couple are different, so too does the output of the photography. I may write the story, but you inspire it. You may have written the movie, but I direct it. For example, Lisa and Michael’s wedding was right on Jubilee Weekend. There were flags everywhere, their wedding rings were different, the weather will never be exactly the same. You cannot have two clouds the same. Even the DJ can change the output of the wedding photography, look how amazing Strobe Disco’s lighting is with the smoke machine! Love it.
